I was thinking about this the other day (ok well yesterday) and figured I should probably write something about myself, as well as about my blog objectives!

Sooo, my name is Discoverylover (ok thats my web name), I’m 24, have one sister (who I love to bits and who will probably feature in this blog a bit) who is living in the UK right now, 3 Mums (count them!) and a wonderful Dad :-)

I’m an avid BookCrosser, and have been for a few years now. Last year I was lucky enough to go on a huge trip round the US (for 5 months), where I also worked at a summer camp in Virginia. I got to meet some awesome (is there any other kind) BookCrossers, as well as some just ‘normal’ fantastic people :-)

Obviously with BookCrossing, comes reading – you can find me over at goodreads if you wanna know what I’m reading, but right now I am in love with Neil Gaiman :D Fave genres are kids/teen, fiction, poetry (is that even a genre?), mystery/thrillers. Interestingly enough I don’t like horror/thriller movies cos the gore completely grosses me out….even though I know it’s fake it still gets to me.

I really like to smile :-)

LOVE music! My favourite band is Sister Hazel (who barely anyone in NZ has heard of :-( ) But I also love Jack Johnson, among others! Seriously, if I were to list all the musicians I like this post would be about 3000 words…

Oh yeah, I’m from New Zealand! Home address is in Wellington, but my job as a Science Roadshow Presenter takes me all over New Zealand, which I’m loving.

I have a degree in teaching (primary and secondary) and one in history. Still deciding if doing 2 degrees in 4 years was a sign of intelligence or stupidity ;-)

So yeah…that’s me in a nutshell….

(Currently listening to Route 66 – thanks Curly Alex for the ‘American Road Trip’ playlist cravings!)
